OUR HEALING COLLECTIVE

OLGA ESCAMILLA, PRE-LPC THERAPIST

HI, I'M OLGA

You may feel like you don’t necessarily “fit-in” or that others do not understand you. Maybe you’re not feeling supported, seen or heard by others. You could be feeling alone, frustrated or hurt. Perhaps you’ve been putting others’ needs first and allowing no space for yourself. This could lead to burnout, frustration or even depression. You deserve to have someone listen to you, someone to talk to who is not judging you, your feelings or your situation. You can make space and time for yourself.

I have always been drawn to helping people since I was a very young age. I know what it is like to be ripped from your everyday reality and fumbling to figure out what is the next best step forward. I understand how upsetting it can feel not to see ourselves represented or recognized in the world. I know how frustrating it can be living in a cultural limbo, balancing between high expectations and the fear of disappointment.

"I BELIEVE WE ARE EXACTLY WHERE WE NEED TO BE TO BEGIN HEALING"

I am committed to providing a multicultural, trauma-informed approach to therapy that is inclusive of all identities. I care deeply about helping people unpack the internalized weight of generational fears, hopes, or trauma. I know how important it is to feel understood.

My experience with survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence has demonstrated that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Working in crisis counseling also taught me how a gentle approach in stressful situations helps us open up and explore our true feelings. Through my own experience, I can first hand confirm how deeply helpful it is to have someone to lean on. I became a therapist to help people, specifically minorities. I provide a warm, calm and caring presence and strongly encourage people to have patience with themselves. I am dedicated to creating a healing space through a culturally sensitive lens and providing reliable, resourceful, supportive care where we can explore our unique experiences, perspectives, and obstacles.

I understand how difficult it is to know feel like yourself. What you are experiencing does not have to be permanent. You are not alone. I am here to support you no matter what you are coping with. You can enjoy life, laugh, and trust again. Let’s work through things together.
